Notice

It has come to our attention that there are fraudulent emails posing invoices that came from Thunderbird Southwest or Lance Herrington.

We did not send these emails and have not been able to stop this activity yet.

If you are the recipient of an email like this please delete it and do not click on any links or attachments within them. This is likely a phishing scheme or an attempt to spread viruses or malware.

In the past a Spammer gained access to our email Contact list that you are on. We have since scanned all of our computers and removed some Malware that we suspect may have allowed this to happen.

This Spammer is now sending fake invoices (a Phishing scheme) to everyone on our Contact List posing as if these invoices came from us. When one of our clients notified us of this a while back we immediately contacted our computer technician who analyzed these emails. He said the emails are not being sent from our mail server. In fact, they are being sent from multiple mail servers from all over the place and unfortunately there is nothing we can do because these servers are not under our control.

Imagine this situation:

- We do not know who you are (yet)

- You somehow obtain our Contact List and have the email addresses of our friends and clients

- You adjust your email software to display OUR email address and started sending fake invoices to all of our Contacts posing as us

- We can't physically stop you from doing this

However, if we analyze the mail header information in the emails you sent we would determine that the source is the mail server you use. At that point we would simply notify your Internet Provider of the abuse and contact your local law enforcement who would be able to sobpena the ISP for their logs to identify you, stop the activity, and we would press charges.

In our situation this is not the case, the emails are being sent from various servers all over and not just from one source. It is most likely these servers or computers are hacked and the owners of them are not even aware this is going on. Now in the situation above imagine your computer has been hacked and you are unaware that it is being used to send fake invoices posing as us.

Our computer technician is continuing to gather the sources of these emails and notify the networks involved of the abuse. Hopefully soon we will be able to narrow down the sender and notify law enforcement.
